Writing Samples

As a student and writer, I've had many opportunities to write about topics and issues I care about. And as an Applied Communication major, I’ve developed a strong foundation in both research and storytelling. I’ve had papers accepted at competitive research conferences, where I applied critical cultural frameworks and theoretical understandings to examine how popular culture and religious institutions influence one another- specifically using Mormonism and BYU (Brigham Young University) as case studies.

Outside of academia, I helped contribute- along with a few other individuals- to climate initiative communications for my favorite band- combining my passion for music and sustainability in a way that feels both personal and impactful. Each experience has strengthened my commitment to using communication as a tool for connection, advocacy, and social change.
