About me

As a passionate communicator, researcher, and advocate rooted in critical cultural perspectives, I feel a strong desire to drive change. As a queer kid, I knew early on that I wanted to help create more spaces where queer youth could feel safe, seen, and celebrated. That drive continues to shape my academic work and creative projects.

I’m currently studying Applied Communication at Utah Valley University, where I pursued an independent study in queer theory and culture with mentorship and guidance from faculty mentors.

My work centers around critical cultural theories, with a focus on applying those frameworks to real-world scenarios, whether it’s analyzing power structures or systems, shaping inclusive messaging, or contributing to grassroots communication efforts. I also received the Communication Department’s Outstanding Independent Study Student award in recognition of my work.

At the core, I believe in the power of communication to shift narratives, build community, and drive meaningful change.
